Sure that works to. It wont be a huge difference between 2" blocks and the dakars... maybe .5 or 1 "

No problem. I had mine at 6" with 285's for a while until I got 35's & bumped it up a little more.

Did it add 2.5 with the spindle lift? So you're at 6.5?

Just wonder if I can get away with them set at 0.. I have a are topper and steel rear bumper.. I think that will let it settle a bit lower

I would think set at 0 with the bumpers you have, you will definitely get some major rubbing. I didn't trim anything and I get rubbing in reverse at full lock, easy fix just haven't had time to do it yet.
That being said I have stock bumpers and that's where it rubs on the front of the fender lining. But with the weight might be hitting your cab mount.

I haven't adjusted any preload. This is how they came from King. Only thing is I have #650 coils instead of the standard #600 that Kings normally ship with. King OEM's ship with around 2.5" of lift over stock.

Nice, I'm planning on installing the all pro standard leaf springs with 5100s but the leafs are currently out of stock. Might go for the dakar route

I've been riding on the dakars with the 2.0 shocks with resi so far and I have no complaints. I'm running the icon 2.5 Coilovers with resi adjusted in the front to about 1/2" of thread showing, so you'll be all set running the bilsteins in my eyes.
