Yeah gotta make sure to specify wheel size when talking about tire sizes. Because 285/75, to me, automatically is referring to a 16" metric 33" tire because that is the most popular size. This is the first time I've seen 285/75r17 tires, it's always 285/70r17 and then a 34 is about 295/70r17

Well since I was quoting this post and was referring to the tires he has (17") I just figured it kinda went w/o saying that I was speaking of tires in the 17" class. Sorry for being so vague next time I will specify. Thanks for the heads up and info!

Thank you sir! No issues rubbing at all, I'm not running any spacers either. The pics don't do the tires justice, I HIGHLY recommend the g2s in the size. Just measured with weight on them 33.5 tall, width is 11.2-11.4. Perfect width for these trucks IMO. IMG_3746.jpgIMG_3748.jpg

I usually don't have much to say either! And it looks like you've been here just as long as I have. I don't have time to chat about the same questions over and over. Paint, tire sizes, vibrations, backspacing, trimming, it grows tiresome. Nobody wants to take time to read. It's been covered soooo many times. Lol. Glad your still here.

Hahah I figured you assumed 16 cause that's what you run, I assumed 17 case that's what I have & the quote he had said 17. I've never seen that size either.

I figured you meant 17 cause of the quote but just wanted to be sure so we'd give you the correct info.
I'm like you, I don't answer the question that have been asked a million times. Hell all yi7 have to do is Google it & more that likely it will come up with multiple TW threads. Haha

You got it @SpruceTaco, I google whatever I am researching then add Tacomaworld to the end and it pops up. Your lift with 285s helped me out a lot with my decision making. Yours with 285/70/17 looked good and I knew the 285/75/17 would be a little taller so I was golden. Waiting to see if my front settles, it's well over 27 inches back is 26.5. Might knock my billies down to 0.

When I first did in it was 27 up front & then it settled to 26.25". I have since adjusted my 5100's all the way up to get me back to 27. For a while it was at like 28 but has settled back done to 27.

Appreciate the measurements and pics, makes my decision that much easier. I've got the original terra grapplers now so when they wear out I'm prolly gonna try something different just for the hell of it. They've been a great tire and I was kicking around the idea of going with the g2's as well. Guess that size is getting pretty popular cause there's a lot of choices for the 285-75-17 now.

Is it possible to run a 4" maxtrac spindle with stock uca and lca with bilstein 5100s w/stock coils at .8?

Yes, the spindles are designed around factory geometry. So even if you had everything stock, you could run the maxtrac spindles

Hows the ride quality? you think the spindle would work on some long travel kits?

I'm pretty sure dirt king kits are compatible with the double sheer mount on the maxtrac spindles.
