Why not use stock coils with the MaxTracs so you can get rid of the rear block altogether once you have the Dakars? This would put you at 4/2ish.

    You get 3" with 885's & billies at 0.

Now when I had my 285's that setup was Maxtracs & billies set at 1.75 with stock coils for 5.75".

After the 35's I added the Toytec 1/4" spacers to both sides to bring it up to 6.25"

Then I maxed out the billies to 2.5 with the spacers for 3" & a total of 7"

Then wanted a better ride & switched to the 885's for 3" & maintained 7". At the same time I added uca's.

Man, I'm not really the one to give advice on tires and weight ratios and 4bangers vs the v6 man.

I personally think you will be fine. It will for sure be more sluggish, but 'should' be ok

Not really sure about the 4 banger but if it helps, I re-geared to 4.56 gears when I went up to 315/70/R17. It felt sluggish before and was shifty on hills and now it is much better.

Gotcha. Well this is my daily driver, I don't do any wheeling, just to and from work. 99% highway for mine. Do you think that will negate the need for a regear?

Stats on the tires i just ordered:
    Mastercraft Courser MXT Radial Tire
    305/70R/16
    Speed Rating: Q
    Weight: 57 LBS
    Load Range: E
    Ply: 10

In theory that's a 32.8" tire, in reality it's probably an even 32. Obviously the weight comes into play as well but I think you'll be OK. You won't be winning any rolling-start freeway drag races and cruise control will hate you but oh well!

Phew, ok. that makes me feel a little better. How much was your re-gear? if it ever comes down to that

I'm on 32" Toyo AT's and haven't regeared....thinking you quoted the wrong person

    :boink:

Regearing around me (Southern Cali) is nucking futs expensive, the techs use all diamond coated gears & gear oil laced with AB- unicorn blood. I kid I kid, I think it's around $600 on the low end for me but labor is very market-specific and you're a few villages away from me. I say run it as is and see if you can live with it. If you don't haul/tow much then that's in your favor. You can regear at any time....when (not if) you install a locker is a perfect time!

Edit to add: King group buy discount/pricing is announced:goingcrazy: Now I need to swallow that huge pill!

Just throwing my opinion out there... I would not go with that large of a tire with your setup. I really think it's going to cause a lot of problems that you'd rather not deal with.

Ok, but first what kind of lift are you running to accommodate that size tire? I think the obvious first issues will be the sluggishness and the possible need to re-gear. I guess if you are OK with that and you can clear without rubbing then why not?

I'm going to get (was going to order today but Headstrong is closed this week) the Maxtrac 4" spindle lift, Bilstein 5100 adjustable front shocks, Bilstein extended length rear shocks, and Headstrong 3 leaf AAL along with the necessary hardware (CB drop, extended rear brake lines, top plate spacers for both sides).

Dude, I'm sorry. I thought you were going with 35's and now see you'll match right up around 33's. You should be fine with a little trimming on the front. You'll be a little sluggish but nothing major.

@TacoMaxxxx oh hell no haha, def not 35's. ~33's are what i ordered this morning. I'm fine with trimming and i expected some slight power loss just due to the increased weight of the 305's going from 245/75r/16
