    I had the old truck up to 8" lift with no sway bar and you wouldn't know it if you rode along. It rode great. Would highly recommend

    No sway bar here. Won't ever run 1 on a truck again after doing it a year ago!

    Re-adjusted alignment today, got the caster to where I wanted it (previously 5.9 and 6) - I should have been more clear with him the first time that I was planning on trimming as needed after the alignment. Instead he pretty much maxed the caster out so I didn't rub when I left the shop.

    Also trimmed away the fender plastic and hammered pinch weld today. :sawzall:Not rubbing at all forward and reverse (street driving), however I'll do the Cmc and filler plates in the next few weeks. Super happy!

    Tons of great info in this thread, thanks everyone! @splitbolt @modifiedtaco

    You too @SpruceTaco :cool::cheers:

    Hello All,

    I'm a 4x2 city driver that never really goes off road, but I was looking at suspension lifts and after learning alot I soon learned that it's overkill for my 4x2 truck. Yes it would be bad ass to have, but If there are good ways to do this easier (Maxtrac) that would be my best option. I really just want a more aggressive stance along with being able to run a 33" tire, and Ill be happy. Here is my truck!New bars & stickers off.jpg

    So.. Maria over at Headstrong turned me onto the" Maxtrac Spindles, so I am now looking into this to lift my front 4". I just did my measurements and they are:

    DF = 21"
    PF = 21"

    DR = 22"
    PR = 22 1/4"

    My line of thinking now is the 4" spindle lift to give me 25" up front along with 5100 set at normal to improve over my Hitachi Sport shocks. Does that start like a good starting point?

    As for the rear, I like a little rake, but I really don't haul anything either except a surfboard hahaha. So with that said, should I raise the back 3" so the truck is leveled with maybe a 1/4" rake? Or sould I raise it 4"

    I will be contacting Maria at HEadstrong to go over all my options, but I'm eager to discuss this and wondering what I should go with in the back.

    It's Marie. Your headed in the right direction. 3.5 to 4" in the back will retain your factory rake. All pro expo or Dakars are great. All pro will give you 1/2" more lift than Dakars. Both are bad ass packs. 5100 set at 0 with maxtracs:muscleflexing: will ride like a dream.

    I need help with pre lift parts check!. Before I get going I want to double check and make sure I've got everything I need.. I know I'm missing a few things, any help would be appreciated.

    Icon stage 1
    Max trac spindles
    1.25 rear spacers

    Also what's a good leaf spring option?.. aal or full pack?.. I rarely have a full load and rarely tow anything heavy.

    Sure
    I searched but couldn't specifically find anyone running only Maxtracs up front with the 34/10.5/17 bfg's. Anyone have this setup or know some reasons why this wouldn't work? The 34 is ~33.5". My rims have -10 offset. Just gonna have maxtracs with the stock OR coils up front for awhile and a new Dakar pack in the back. I don't mind some minor trimming and reshaping if needed. Don't wanna cmc but will if necessary. So what do ya think? 34's or stick to the 285's? Thanks for any input y'all may have.
