I started with blocks and add-a-leaf, then Full pack Dakar. So, I feel like I wasted money and time trying to use a less costly option. It was worth every penny (imho) for the Dakars, one swap done..!! I had the rear axle wrap that was driving me crazy, none now that I upgraded. Dakar, Dakar, Dakar = my fave

I have the blocks and add-a-leafs if someone wants them? pm, me

    Headstrong was a huge help.

The Dakar's have been great for me. Absolutely no squeaking and ride great. I also like the All Pro standards however they did start to squeak on me.

So I'm at the final stages of buying everything to get this lift going. Marie has been so patient with me and kind enough to quote me a few different options. Coming here for the final opinions.

    Option 1:

    4" Maxtrac lift + 2" blocks.

No Questions here - understand what I am getting with this option.

    Option 2:

4" Maxtrac lift with Dakars medium load

What benefit is there to dakars if I'm mostly a daily driver + very occasional casual dirt roads? I am aiming to keep the truck level (don't want rake) - do Dakars in the rear maintain a level look?

    Option 3:

4" Maxtrac lift with Dakars and Bilstein 5100s front and rear.

Once again, looking to maintain level appearances. With bilsteins on lowest setting, is there any reason to get bilsteins? Ride quality?

    Thanks for your input!

I like option 3, new Bilsteins will ride better than stock, if I'm not mistaken the Dakars will increase our load capacity & won't sag over time like the stock ones. If they lift 3" I believe you may have a slight rake with the Dakars but not as bad as factory, maube only an inch. Maybe someone with Dakars will chime in.

I vote option 3 for ride quality. Dakars are great and won't sag. I've had mine on for almost a year and have put several hundred lbs in the bed a few times and still ride great. Glad I went with full leaf packs and skipped the error trial with blocks or aal.

Hey guys, after reading through every thread on the forum, I think I've finally made my decision on upgrading the current stock suspension. Looking for a completely level look that can fit 255/80/17 cooper St maxx. Let me know your thoughts and if I forgot anything. All advice is appreciated!

    1. Icon stage 1 suspension kit
    2. Maxtrac 4" spindles
    3. All-pro standard leaf pack
    4. Extended brake lines (front and rear)
    5. Longer u-bolt kit

    Thanks!

Alright guys, I’m wanting to go higher with my truck.
    Current:
    Maxtrac spindles 4”
    Bilstein 5100s set @ 2.5”
    (total 6.5” roughly)

I know I’m gonna need new UCAs to go higher, i was thinking about the built right or light racing. My plan is to lower my 5100s to 1.75” then throw on lift coils (don’t know which ones yet).

My question is what UCA are you guys running if you have more than 6.5” of lift?

UCAs Don’t care how much lift you have. They only care about how much travel your coilover has. If you don’t have a extended travel coil over shock a new UCA will just make it pertier wheel well.

But if i lift my truck higher my uca won’t have enough travel so yes i want more travel, that’s what I’m asking. I’m just asking what everyone is running.

Lift does not give you travel. Your shocks are your limiting factor right now not your UCAs.

887 coils and drop those 5100s down to zero

UCA is much a personal preference (as for which one you go with)
