The mods have probably changed since last update.
Yeah I remember thinking I was getting pretty tired pumping those breaks and then realized I had done very limited work compared to what he was doing :curls: :D

    Don't break your brakes ;):bananadead:

Edit to add- the front brakes weren't bad for me, the clip up at the top of the rear brakes, however, made me throw quite a few tools across the yard.

Ok, guys. I just received an answer from Sean Romo of maxtracsuspension.com about the fitting of the 16" wheels and the spindles. I will paste the reply textually in case someone is still interested on this information.

"As long as the wheels clear the calipers then yes a 16” rim with a 4.5” backspace or less will work no adapters needed. We have had multiple people run that setup. The problem we ran into many years ago when we designed these spindles was that very few manufacturers offered 16” wheels for the 05” Tacomas. 95% of the wheels on the market were 17” or larger so that is why we call for that. Hope this info helps. Thanks"

Ok, as everybody already knows, a spindle lift isn't cheap, so what is the cheapest 2 inches temporary lift for the rear? A 2 inch tapered blocks could be fine? I have a 1" block right now and I never go off-road, so that is not a concern to me.

... And what about the rear brake lines? Did you have to replace those too?

I bought rear brake lines for my prerunner 2.5+ years ago. Sold the prerunner for my 4x4 1.5 years ago and just put them on my 4x4 last week because those clips are so hard to get off. Every time I tried I got aggravated after an hour of fighting and gave up. It would be easiest to just take the bed off to do it.

Someone in this forum said that the stock rear brake lines can be used up to 3" lift. Is that right?

Probably, I'm no expert but for the minimal cost would it be a better idea to get the lines for the peace of mind?

It can get pricey but I figure get everything and do it right once.

That sounds about right. The stock lines work well with Dakar's although at full droop they start to stretch. I'm running 7" lift in the rear and I have the All Pro +4 lines that have plenty of available down travel. Hope this helps.

Could go without the spindles and just lift the rear for a different look =)

Haha yeah, that was after the first day. That following day with the local group we knocked out the front of mine and then one other whole truck.
