They are, but you're paying for a high quality part. Wheel spacers are not something you want to sacrifice quality for savings.

Well, I was thinking in some Spidertrax wheel spacers. They are a well known brand! :)

Either or. Bora and SpiderTrax make good products and many TW members have used both for years in every type of driving environment for thousands of miles without issue.

Wheel spacers from both companies are hub & lug centric. Both are machined out of the same grade of aluminum. Bora offers more off-the-shelf sizes and I think they'll custom make spacers for you if you contact them.

Guys, I'm planning to install my spindles this weekend if the weather is generous. Right now I have a couple of silly questions; Does anybody knows the torque spec from the ucas bolt and the Tie rod reconnecting to the Maxtrac spindle? I have the OEM specs but they are useless!

What do you mean the OEM specs are useless?

Well, I was guessing that the OEM specs are good for OEM spindles, not for the Maxtrac, Am I wrong?

The torque specs remain the same. All you're doing is replacing one part for another that is a different size but that will operate identically to the original. The same forces are at work.

Unless Maxtrac specifically quotes a torque, OEM torque is what you use. Torque is usually based on the size/grade of the bolt used. If you ever don’t have a torque listed you can google torque specs for the size bolt you have and the chart will give you recommended torque based on size/grade.

    Great explanation.

Been following your build log for years as you know. If anyone has questions, you're the man to ask.

But why this diagram specify 81ft lbs for the uca to the spindle?

    Good catch.

I'm glad you verified; I was going off of memory of the torque specs used for my Dirt King UCAs. My mistake!

Are you using stock UCA or aftermarket?? If you have Total Chaos UCAs it calls for 100ftlb on the spindle to UCA bolt.

I think pretty much all the aftermarket UCA manufacturers call for 100ft lbs on the UCA bolt. @sblspawn didn't mention he has aftermarket UCAs.

Stock ucas. That's one of the reasons why I opted for the Maxtrax lift over a suspension lift. I didn't want to replace too many parts.
