    That's fine. The 81ft lbs is the torque spec you'll need.

    Just throwing this out there: replacing your OEM UCAs with aftermarket UCAs is a breeze and makes alignments a hell of a lot easier should you ever want to upgrade.

    Modding: it's addictive.

    Guys, I have another question, maybe a little out of topic! I'm sorry for that! But as you guys already know after the spindle installation we have to purge the brake system, so, I want to know if any dot3 will do or I have to buy the OEM brake fluid at the dealer?

    We're here to answer any questions you may have. If you don't ask, someone else eventually will!

    Any quality DOT3 will work!

    Suggestion: since you're going to be replacing brake lines, buy the right tools for the job. Get a set of quality metric flare nut wrenches. You're going to need them for the line connections. Also, whatever you do, don't let any of the brake fluid get on the paint and don't let the brake fluid reservoir go dry. If it does, you're likely looking at a trip to the dealership to bleed your brakes (unless you have the Techstream software). Take your time doing each brake line one at a time, keep that reservoir full, and you'll be good to go.

    Where are you located?

    @sblspawn

    One other thing. Take pictures of your driveshaft and mark your driveshaft where it goes into the slip yoke prior to installing the spindles. As you lift your Tacoma, the driveshaft will pull out of the transmission slip yoke and will likely (but not guaranteed to) cause significant vibration. Why you want to mark the driveshaft is you'll need that mark as a reference point to measure how thick of a spacer you'll need to buy to extend the driveshaft back onto the slip yoke.

    If you need pictures for a better idea of what I'm talking about I'll take and post them tomorrow.

    Hey thanks a lot for the advices, buddy! Really helpful! I am not a mechanic by any means, but I have been doing many of my own things for years! Now saying this I have to admit that this is my first Tacoma and every vehicle is different, so any advice or recommendation is very welcome and I really appreciate it.

    I am in South Florida :)

    Great idea! I've been told that not everyone need it, is that right? I found this website, tell me what do you think about it.

    Just happy to be of some help. If you were closer (Texas) I'd offer to lend you a hand. I'm sure if you run into any issues, all you'll have to do is to post here on TW and we'll be here!

    Nice!

    One last thing. I had to buy a new floor jack because after the lift my Tacoma was too tall for the original jack. If you run into the same problem, the floor jack I bought was a . It's literally identical to the Snap-On model but painted yellow and hundreds of dollars less expensive. Its extremely well made and worth every penny.

    Exactly what I was talking about. I almost purchased from them but I opted instead to buy from this site as the hardware is better (grade 12.9 vs grade 5) and there are more widths available. The vendor is pretty dang responsive to questions and quick with the shipping. The website is worth the read as well.

    Should you require a spacer, the dimension of the spacer you'll need are 11mm bolt 66mm x 66mm with the width as whatever you measure on your driveshaft.

    @Biscuits
    I wasn't informed about this when i did the rear lift on my PreRunner so I didn't get a chance to mark my driveshaft prior. I also dont see any markings that would indicate movement.

    I know of another truck with a similar rear setup as my own and they used a 1.5" driveline spacer. Would it be foolish of me to do the same ? Or is there a minimum thickness that I could safely/blindly use?

    I didn't know about it either. What I did was find a non-lifted PreRunner and measured it's driveshaft and compared it with my PreRunner. Doing that gave me a pretty reasonable figure. I ordered a 1.0" spacer and that cured the vibrations for me.

    What you don't want to happen is the drive shaft to seat fully on the yoke / in the transmission. The driveshaft will need to slide a bit back and forth as your suspension articulates.

    It'll spell for a bad day if you're at full compression and your driveshaft has nowhere to go.

    If we're only talking about front lift from spindles...that won't impact the driveshaft at all, what am I missing? :confused:

    I'm wondering if I can drive the truck after the spindle installation.
    I mean, between the bad alignment and this driveshaft issue, how bad or dangerous is to drive the vehicle?

    I have the Dakar leaf pack and didn't need any spacer for the driveshaft. It may be an issue with blocks or adding leafs.

    Guys for how long can I drive the truck without the driveshaft spacer until it arrives by mail? How can affect that the truck in the future?

    I don't have a driveshaft spacer and my trucks been fine for 3 years

    Sure, I'll add one at some point to help mitigate my take off vibe.

    But, it's not a big enough issue for me right now.

    Also, you'll for sure want to get it aligned before putting any real miles on it.

    My alignment was pretty off after installing the spindles.
