I absolutely didn't pay any attention to them when I was putting them on. I could have sworn I removed the spacers when I took the factory shocks of and stored them. Damn these spindles, they got me so excited that I managed to create more work for myself tomorrow.

senor taco mentioned that the longer coil goes on the driver side. How do you know which one that is?

Not sure about that?!?!? I had mine all done yesterday and ended up pulling struts back out today to remove 3/4" top spacer...not that hard

Yea, I know it's not hard to swap shocks/springs. I would just like to know how to tell which goes on the driver side and which goes on the passenger side so I won't have to redo it again....

I'm not sure How to tell, I would just measure it before hand on a flat surface. If your passenger side is higher then put that asssembly on your driver side.

What about that brown sleeve on the top of my coils? I don't remember that showing when I first bought my truck. Are those supposed to be facing out or in or does it even matter?

Not looking forward to swapping shocks/springs again after work, but that's what I get for not paying attention, lol

If anyone could tell me before I do this tonight, should that brown sleeve thing on my coils in the picture above be showing or should I have it on the inside, or does it even matter? Finally one of the members above mentioned that one of the factory shocks/coils is specifically for the driver side as it is supposed to be a little taller I guess to maybe account for the taco lean. Does anyone happen to know which one it is and how to tell if you have the correct one? Different part # than the other one maybe???

Looking at the Brown sleeve I see in your pics. I've never seen those on the outside. You most likely have them backwards.

Sounds good. I will make sure I put them on the inside when I take the spacer off this afternoon.

    Thanks!

Geeezzzz... No one listen's to me.... lol... Since you haven't had it aligned yet and the toe is off... Toe in and that's when the tires are pointing towards each other will push the suspension UP and that's what is happening here... No worries it will be just fine when you get it aligned...

Also while i'm here... If the front end is higher than the back this will effect caster... If you have not enough caster the truck will be darty and the truck will not hold a straight line... If you have too much caster the truck will feel slugish turning and it will take more effort to turn and it will track very straight.... I hope this helps.....Thanks

I love the look of this truck. What are you running for suspension in the rear.

    maxtracbob,

Trust me, I listen to you, lol. In reference to the post of mine you quoted, I was asking why my front was so high. I failed to realize I still had my 2.5 inch spacers on the shocks/springs when I installed them (too jazed about getting the spindles on I guess). I only intended to run just the spindles and stock shocks/springs. If you continue reading from that post forward, you will see that someone showed me the error in my ways....

Ok, spacers are off now. Now my truck doesn't look like a snob with it's nose in the air. Off to get it aligned tomorrow!
