20190527_190747.jpg So when I bought my truck used it had the typical dual chrome 3inch rolled tip exhaust. Always hated it. Painted them flat black and ran them that way for a while. Today said I'm gonna cut those emeffers off. Roll incognito. High, tight, and outtasite.

IMG_20190527_195757.jpg Yup. 5 minutes with the recip saw and some high temp primer. Done. Almost looks like I already lifted the rear now that those 2 cannons under the bumper are gone.

Thanks. Yours too. Always had silver trucks. Great color. Couldnt pass up the deal on the pyrite mica this time though. Then I put the matte black and smoke bronze wheels on it. Think it turned out pretty good. Can't wait to do the new lift @ChadsPride and I were talking about earlier.

Thanks Emeffer! The new lift will make it even sweeter looking. The rims are awesome looking. Great choice for the pyrite.

OME Dakar Leaf Springs with a 1 inch block, and Bilstein extended 5100s in the rear. 20x12, 2 piece Fuel Mavericks with 305/55r20 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Asking for some help with my suspension set up. I figured a 7 year old ongoing thread would be able to help me. Currently my 2006 DCSB is lifted in the front with 4 inch Maxtrac spindles, bilstein 5100 set at .85 with eibach 1.6 coils and a taco lean spacer. I have SPC UCAs for my alignment. My problems are currently only at full droop when the truck is on the car lift. or both wheels off the ground. At ride height the alignment is fine and it drives well. the only concerning part is the spindle actually hits my coils. The driver side is way worse than the passenger side and I believe its due to the taco lean spacer. I've attempted to scan through the 600+ pages of this thread to find out if anyone had similar issues but I wasn't able to find much. My question is if I remove the top plate spacer will it stop ramming into my coils? Or do I need to get the 2.5 inch toytec coils and set the shocks to 0 to help the angle or would it be the same? Debating taking the coils out entirely at this point and going back to stock UCAs but wanted some opinions first. Thank you in advance!

Grind a 1/16 to an 1/8 off that inside corner thats closest the the coil. Not enough to fuck with the integrity of the spindle though. Touch up the paint on the coils and see if it still hits.

If that doesn't work then I'd start chasing parts

Was that happening before the coilovers? Or did those go in at the same time as the spindles?

Only happens full droop? Like only when you put it on a lift? Or are you going full send?

Right just on the car lift or on jack stands. I don’t send it lol my trucks all for looks. Unless it hits a pothole or something.

I wouldn't worry about it then unless you are jumping shopping carts in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Lol I’ve put 10k miles on it as is and it hasn’t been too bad just concerning sometimes but I’m sure it’ll be alright.

Kidding. The spindles are a cast part. Although they are milled correctly the outside could be a little heavy or could have some extra slag on that corner from the casting process. That's why I suggested the grinding part.
