Didn't see that. They most likely won't work then. Only other option probably is to just get new leaf packs or a block.

What's the thinnest wheels spacer I can get for the rear? I'm having spindles installed and they poke out more by 3/4". And I would love to match the rear to them. But if I can't then not the end of the world

Would you happen to know what brand or a link to a 3/4" spacer for the rear? I can't seem to find a 3/4" set I even went on head strong and extremeterrain. I went on other threads but some of the links are dead

    Thank you!!
(edit) would a 16-20 tacoma 6 lug wheel spacer work on a 2nd gen with 6 lugs too? Same pattern right?

Yep they haven't changed the 6 lug bolt pattern since the 1st gen: 6x5.5

I put 1.25” Spidertrax spacers on the rear and it made the rear look pretty close to even with the front now

Thank you for the help. I will look into the 1.25" spidertrax spacer just cuz I hear/read good things about that brand

Also, I was concerned about how to remove them when it came time for state inspection or brake work because of putting the “red” loctite on. A local 4x4 shop told me to not put the loctite on. They said to just torque the bolts that hold the spacers on to 130 ft lbs, so the spacers can be removed without tearing up the lugs. I torqued them to that and have checked them a few times and they have never come loose. I put them on the same way on my son’s truck and have had no issues on it either. Just make sure you check them every time you rotate the tires.

The Spidertrax 1.25 is what you want. It visually balances the rear to front.

Agreed! It gets pretty darn close and not that noticeable of a difference.

Definitely good information there. I won't apply red loctite. I hear that stuff is hard to break bolts/lugs off of. 130 ft lbs now I'm going to remember that forever! Im paranoid about bolts and stuff coming loose cuz I have had that happen on my corolla(modded out and love doing canyon runs) and I'll definitely be checking the torque on the lugs with these new spidertrax spacers. Thanks for the info!!

Man you can even tell the difference. Those 1.25" spacers make the rear look identical to the front! By the way both your red Tacomas are nice! I low key wanted a red tacoma. There is a red tacoma down the street from me with 33's and a decent lift to it and I always catch myself staring at it :D don't matter if it's Barcelona red or Radient red they both look great

Just so you can see fully. I frankly don't want another red vehicle if I can help it. Thankfully this is my second vehicle. I had a jeep cherokee basically the same color, "chili pepper red". I keep tossing around getting a new truck, which will sit for the most part with this work from home hoopla. But this no payments thing is great! Plus ol Red hasn't shown slowing down any and still thumping along at 180k. Could use a paint job to fix the top of the cab and the pits from road rock on the highway.

Although this doesnt apply to me because I have different offset wheels F/R....I'm not following the logic here. If the truck came with identical track width in front and rear......and same size/offset wheel at all 4 corners.

Wouldnt 1.25" wheel spacers in the rear push the wheels further out (increased rear track width) compared to the front? The spindles add .75" width.....wouldn't you want to use .75" wheel spacers in the rear?

If you prefer the "wider" look from the rear....thats totally cool too.

No car payments? Shoot! If your red taco has only 180k its still breaking in! Having no car payments is really a massive weight off your shoulders. And you only pay liability insurance. As for the red I like it! But then again it does attract police (say if you have front tinted windows it'll probably catch their eyes, in california that's for sure) wrap that bad boy!

With the 1.25 in the rear it looks like it matches the front! But I see what you mean. It's a half inch difference from 3/4 to 1.25". Someone did point out the 3/4" wheel spacer. I forget the brand but a gentleman gentlemen referred it to me couple posts back or so. I want to try the front wide look and see how I like it first. I'd prefer the all match however, it may change my mind. I'll posts pics when I get the truck back after the Driveshaft is installed

True true. Would be better sand it first. The clearcoat on the top of the cab is like sandpaper right now since it baked in the son for years. But im with ya on the just getting broken in. I figured I can sock that car payment away for a down payment or towards other stuff. The only thing im tryin to change on it is the cover. Kinda want a tonneau cover and keep the softopper for when needed or sell it.
