If you're running the spindles only then yeah, I would stick with a 285. If you're running an adjustable shock/spring setup like the 5100's or a coilover setup then I wouldn't go over a 295 unless you plan on doing a lot of trimming and hammering.

The mods have probably changed since last update.
I'm running 33x12.5 just fine with no rubbing at all and 5100's set at the lowest notch. I feel like I have room for more tbh.

16" Procomp 7032. This is back when I had 285/75/16 tires. I now have the Cooper AT3 in 295/75/16

I just ordered a pair maxtrac spindles for my truck. I am currently running king 2.5 shocks with total chaos Uppers and Lowers. Has anyone ran the maxtrac spindle before with the Total chaos UCA, just trying to see how the ride is with them and if I am going to need to replace the UCA.

I've got TC UCAs with Maxtrac spindles & King 2.5 remote resi shocks. I wish the TC arms had more caster in them, I can get about +3 before the other alignment specs start to suffer. I'd like to get around 5 to move the 34's away from the cab mounts. Minor complaint, otherwise they've been maintenance free & awesome! Quoted myself below so you can see pics, if you'd like.

@Airdog @TheBlueBeast15 so I finally had the LCA's with the modified brackets installed on Thursday. They fit perfectly. But after inspecting them last night, I realized that this combo of parts (spindles and LCA's) requires a mod to the spindles too. The front double shear projections extend in the horizontal plane beyond the LCA bracket. So when you are at full turn, they hit the LCA. If it was flush, it probably wouldn't be a problem. I need to talk to Ryan at LSK if it would make more sense to machine the spindle down to be flush or if he could offer a different modified bracket. The picture below is with only about 60miles on the install (all freeway or street driving). I think most of the damage was done while pulling in and out of parking spots. The rear projections appear to have plenty of room.

Do you think replacing the Standard TC UCA with the hein joint UCA will fix that?

Yup that’s another issue that you run into when you eliminate the stock steering stops. Luckily for me the TC Lca’s have a pocket the lower boltheads go into and act as the steering stop. But as you can see in the pic they do have some slight damage.

I'm way out of my knowledge zone here. But just thought I'd throw this out there that I've seen a couple times mentioned that Camburg Spindles seem to be more long travel friendly. Not sure if they're built differently. Again I have no personal experience or knowledge of this but maybe it might be something you can look into.

Edit: I'm also not sure if you're long travel or not. Just kind of assumed based on the LCA pic. But just realized there is also stock length after market lowers.

As long as you have enough backspace to clear the spindles you should be fine.

Put my MaxTrac spindles on about a week ago and all I can say is that I am so happy with how it turned out. I currently have king 2.5 Resi w/o adjuster with total chaos uppers and lowers and just adding the MaxTrac spindle to the car was just a MAJOR upgrade, the ride feels so much smoother and was finally able to lower the shock height and give it more travel. The stance and height is perfect and I couldn't be happier. Now just need to hit some trails and some dirt to fully test it out the ride but just riding it on the road it is so nice and smooth. Pictures coming soon!

Make sure to put them wheelers superbumps up front too for a super plush ride. Eats up bumps like no other.
