That was my setup minus the shims when I had first installed the spindles.

I think it's pretty good cause you can always use the shims when you upgrade to a full leaf pack.

Yeah I’d definitely recommend a new leaf pack if you can swing it. Although I went the alternate route and made my own pack by cutting up an oem leaf pack and adding some leaves in.

Here’s how my truck sits with my Frankenstein pack with a shell on and a few tools in the bed.

I ordered a set, looking for a little info. I'm running fox 2.5 EXT w/ RES set at factory setting, not 100% sure but I think it's 2". Will that put me at a 6" lift up front? Not looking for that much lift lol

Yes, the lift spindles will add on top of your current lift. I’d drop the coilovers down to 0-1” lift.

Yes, you’ll have 6” lift. That’s what I have with Bilsteins on the 3rd notch.

Recently got new wheels and thinking about switching to spline lug nuts. But I've been seeing that on most descriptions it mentions not to use an impact anyone know if this is because they'll strip the spline part?

I would say it’s because you should torque your wheels to 85 ft lbs with a torque wrench. An impact can over tighten the lugs and possibly damage the wheels. At least that’s what I’ve always heard. I have spline lug nuts and have always used a torque wrench.

I use an impact set to the lowest torque to run em down until they bottom out, but not more than 20ish ft-lbs. Then I swap over to the torque wrench & send em home.

Lol I guess I should of specified that I was referring to breaking them loose. Using an impact is a time saver but I didn't want to risk stripping the splines and then struggling to remove them. But @ChadsPride answered my doubts since he's been doing it for years and no issues. Thanks guys.

Installing this weekend! I'm also putting in new wheel bearing/hub assemblies. Any last minute advice? Seems pretty straight forward, just my first time with this specific install. I already broke my ABS sensors trying to get them out from the stock spindles :frusty: had to get new ones. Extended brake lines already done!

Take your time don't rush it there'd nothing worse then having it all back together and your about to throw on the wheels only to realize you forgot to install a bolt or something important.

Makes sense! I've had the front end all torn apart since last weekend lol, I'm a weekend warrior when it comes to my truck projects. I'll have all my tools and consumables laid out for tomorrow! Did anyone put the hubs on pre spindle install, or is it easier once the spindles are on?

I’d put the hubs on after the spindles are installed. Make sure you torque everything. Also, remember your tie rods will be flipped upside down. Can’t wait to see pics afterwards!

In my opinion easier to put on once the spindles are on the truck but I've seen some people hold the spindle on a vise and install the hubs and torque them down once they're on the truck.
