Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

I have a few questions because Im a little confused on spindles , okay, well i have toytec coil spacers in the front and i think a 1 inch block in the back and im running 285/75R16 MT's and i didnt have to do any trimming so why would you have to do any trimming with a spindle lift ? and also im looking in to a spindle lift can i combine the two to get a 6 inch lift and would 33's look fine with that set up?

 

The reason they rub is due to the fact that the spindles make the tires stick out farther. Also I used to have the toytec spacer as well and the spindles with a 4" block in rear...rode like shit but it does work. Now im using 5100s at .85" with 1.6" eibachs and 1.5" aal and 2" block. So I'm right at 6.45" in front and 3.5" in rear. I'm running 33x12.50s as I felt like the 285s looked to skinny. Check out my build page for pics!

 

Got a picture of your setup? Kind of hard to believe you didn't have to trim anything. Unless, you just rub like crazy and that doesn't bother you? Either way, I would like to see pics of your setup....

 

i would , but i dont know how to add a picture and i have no rubbing what so ever expect a small bit at full lock and i also still have the mud flaps on. so if i kept the coil spacer and got the spindle lift and got 33/12.50R17 it wouldnt look like to small of a tire?

 

no...and yes you can use a spindle in combo to whatever you want.....

 

You have little rubbing becAuse you're running stock backspacing wheels. With spindles, not only will they make your front tires stick out further(causing a larger area in the wheel well to turn the tire), but you cannot run stock wheels withoit spacers, causing them to stick out even further again.

 

Why do people set the 5100's to .85 if the spindle gives you 4" lift?

To get even more lift...i wanted a 6" lift but didnt want a drop bracket lift. So with the spindles 4" and the bilsteins at .85" plus my 1.6" eibachs i achieved the look i wanted and the ride as well

I'm going to pattern my build to yours if you don't mind bro..so what's your estimate cost for the suspension set up,wheels/tires with rear spacers?

 

I picked up the 5100s and eibachs for 200$ from a local member. The spindles and extended brake lines were 485$ on the group buy. 1.5" aal was like 70$ and 1.5" block and u bolt kit was around 50$. The rear brake lines were 75$
I think. Wheels were around 600$ and I traded my 285 trail grapplers to a guy for the mud grapplers.
