Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

paid $50 bucks for a quart of paint here in the US...took them to mexico, got them painted for $100...quality stuff too.

 

Your truck looks really awesome with spindles!..I'm sold on that..have a question for you or anybody here. Can I possibly combine the maxtrac spindles and 884 while using the front stock shocks for now? Just curious. Trying to achieve 6" lift on a budget. For the rear, I'm thinking of doing 2" block plus AAL, extended pro comp shocks/cables. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

This is kind of what I have...2"
Block and 1.5" aal and tab springs in rear...4"
Spindles, 5100s set at .85", and 1.6"
Eibachs for a total of 6.45" of lift in front and about 4" in rear

 

Het Matt!. Yeah actually I'm trying to pattern my build with yours. Your 6"lift really inspired me. Kinda short on the budget right now so I was wondering if I can retain the stock shock in the front with the added Maxtrac spindles and OME 884 springs. You think this would work for now?.

 

Yes but can't u get a set of bilstein 5100s for the front instead of coils? Believe there's not much price difference but you will notice ride difference

Even though i don't own Maxtrac product on my truck. With installing these spindles, I just look how beefy they are know they are not going to break. Well done Bob. Congrats on a good year hope you can keep producing them , so i can keep installing them on peoples trucks.

Alright these questions may have been answered somewhere in this 90 page thread but I don't feel like looking through it all

I've been looking at a lot of different lifts, mostly suspension lifts though. I have a pretty limited budget but I want to do it right. Basically my questions are

1. Do I have to get different wheels with all spindle lifts, or just maxtrac? And why is this? I know there is an issue with backspacing and that's about it.
2. I think I'm right here but just double checking, stock shocks and coils work with new spindles.
3. Do I need new UCA's since I'm going with 4" of lift?
4. I would like to keep my front and back tires evenly stuck out, so how much do these spindles make the front stick out? Are wheel spacers the way to go in order to fix this?
5. I need new leafs in back anyway, I think I'll probably go all-pro 3 inch. Thats not really a question just more of a statement.

I think that's it for now, thanks ahead of time for input.

 

1. The backspacing will make the rim rub on the spindle. Hence needing new rims or spacers.
2. Stock shock and springs will work.
3. You do NOT need UCA's you are just moving the hub down. Keeps stock geometry.
4. Spindles will make the tires stick .75 inches.

 

We should get a list of rim and tire sizes that people have gone with, when using this list (including backspacing)

 

17x9 4.5 backspace -12mm offset with 33x12.50x17

 

Ok thanks that helps a lot, if I got .5 inch spacers in the front and 1 an a quarter in the back would that work? Or do you guys think I should save up for some new wheels.

 

I have 1.25" in the rear and none in front and I'm about even

 

And you have aftermarket wheels, so I would have to be even wider in back then right? Cause if I do a half inch spacer in front I'd be 1.25 inches total in front...I think...
