I'm planning on getting 285/75/16 once I get my bumper made and I have some more funds. And running them on stock wheels until I can afford some methods.

How big of spacers? And I'm assuming I wouldn't need any for the rear?

Also, how's the truck ride with just coilovers and spindles in the front and stock suspension in the rear?

You need 1.25 wheel spacers in the front or else it will rub due to backspacing of the stock wheels.

Shit, my bee...i thought "cdsurfphotography" had his truck with just spindles and coils in the front and stock in the rear...I might as well go ahead and put leafs and shocks in the back if I plan on doing it down the road....

My truck is just spindles and and 5100s up front, I haven't touched the rear. And after this past weekend I will definitely invest in a smooth front end before I start working on the rear. You can feel every bump in the front but the rear just glides or bounces over the bumps.

Well, if you're referring to actual prerunning where you want a better front end, I'm not personally worried about that bc I'm on the east coast. I was thinking of first doing spindles and tires/spacers with nothing in the rear (I already have fox 2.5's in the front)...and I was wondering how that would ride for daily use and possibly towing.

I'm just wondering since I plan on going the route anyway, should I go ahead and invest in some uca's along with the rear set up. Also, does not doing anything in the rear affect the load on the rear end? Does it not sag like hell with those two ktm's in the back?

Also, off topic; but how are you strapping those bikes down with no front eye hooks or tie downs in our tacoma beds?

for prerunning you want a better rear end, not front.

do atleast a aal in the rear

Each bike it strapped with two tie downs on the bed cleats and they're not going anywhere.

hey this might be a dumb question but spare with me..
you dont need upper arms for the maxtrac spindles correct?

just going thru a final check list of parts needed an that just hit me

    alread have:
    max trac spindles
    wheel spacers
    extend spline lugs
    4 extended break lines
    2 toytec coils
    ap xpo leafs
    flip kit & ubolt
    leaf springs bushings

just missing the 4 shocks & maybe the drive line spacer fix for vibrations??

Let me throw this question out there (I don't think it has been asked/answered anywhere)...

Does anyone know what wheel backspacing/offset is required to make up for the spindles pushing out the front wheels? In other words, what backspacing/offset is required to make the truck look like it isn't running lift spindles?

    Thanks in advance...

:notsure: But you have to run 4.5" to clear the spindle.

The Mickey Thompson Classic Lock Blacks that I am running now have 4" backspacing and -12 offset. They clear the spindles with no issue....

That is more backspacing than 4.5" so yes you are good. But the stock rims are 5.5" or so and they do rub.

I gotcha. I just wondering if the offset has more to do with how far the wheel sticks out more than the backspacing....?

    EVERYTHING
There are so many differant ways to lift the rear of the truck.... If you use a block, they are tapered to correct the angle. If you use springs (and depending on the lift) they should come with shims on the bigger lift springs so that should be covered. Now for the CB drop.... I have only run into this once or twice but if you do get some vibration at takeoff just add a couple of washers at the CB... Only about 1/4" is needed and thats only if you are running a 4" block in the back... Hope that helps...
As far as the back spacing, the reason for the maximum being 4.5 is because the spindle used to sit inside the the wheel and thats why stock can get away with having so much backspacing... Now the new spindles are taller and the spindle cannot fit inside the wheel thats why we have to run less backspacing and the reason we need to push the wheels out is because the stub axle is now positioned where the ball joint plate is on the factory spindle... I really hope this helps and again if anyone needs to see it in person they are welcome to come down here and I will go over any questions you might have... I want EVERYONE to be happy with our products... Everyone have a great and safe holiday....

Cool, thanks Bob. For the sake of being selfish and trolling for a more specific answer. I'm planning on All Pro Expo leaf pack in the rear.. shock TBD, recommendations welcome.
