Maybe trading Tacoma for Ridgeline

Marine should be capitalized. Be respectful.

 

I think the ridgeline has some cool features and comforts but I like the frame of the taco rather than a unibody on the ridgeline. Honda makes a good product but the service is ridiculous. It costs more to service my civic than to have the same things done on the Tacoma. Do what fits your needs, at least it will hold similar value and if you decide it was a mistake you can get out of it easily.

Forget about modding the Ridgeline for better off-road performance. This Baja race Ridgeline with King coilovers ended up with same wheel travel as a stock Taco... http://www.fourwheeler.com/project-vehicles/129-0605-desert-race--honda-ridgelin/

Personally I don't really the truck bed. If I didn't care for real off-road capability, I would've gotten a Forester before a Ridgeline.

I briefly considered the Ridgeline before buying my Taco. My biggest problem was the horrible gas mileage. I think its rated at 15/18. That's pretty bad for a unibody with a 3.5 V6. But you can't go wrong with a Honda for reliability...my Dad had a 97 CRV with 270,000 miles that still ran great.

If the "local Mpg's" were just a touch better we would still have our '07 RIDGELINE.....but 15-18 MPG's at 2-3 trips a day @ 5-6 days a week... $$$

Did everything my Dad or I could ask of it; Towed his dual axle boat trailer loaded down with the Grady White without breaking a sweat, Maine to Ft.Myers Fl....

Made that trip 4 times with no problems...comfortably loaded down each way....

Made last winters snow "easier" on my wife as it "Knows" when to become a 4x4 ..

They hold their $$$ value as well as Yota for we OWN my Lexus ES300 thanks to that "trade-in-value"...

Great for the wallet also; besides oil changes,1 battery ( truck did sit for 7 months & it was oem ) and front brakes put on by the dealer no problems @ 60k miles...
And if you see in the pix..that hard roll-up cover was GREAT....wife REALLY missed that earlier this month with her soccer camps; throw any & everything back there and lock it up.....kept everything dry all 4 seasons also....Poor Lexus felt like a pack mule

The Ridgeline couldn't make it up a hill every other midsize truck on the market could (with the Tacoma being the best). Just saying.
