Just weeks ago, Mayer residence were chased out of their homes by fires. Now the monsoon season is sending floods to destroy more homes and contaminate wells. They need our help. Drinking water is the biggest priority.

I have spoken with my wife's cousin, the Fire Chief in Mayer. Here is what I have so far, will add more info as we get it.

Tom Haney, will be working on Saturday, so the Fire Station is the best place to bring donations.

If people want to send items via Amazon, etc. the address of the Fire Station is: 11975 State Route 69, Mayer, AZ 86333.

Tom will get back to me regarding how to donate $$. He thinks people may be able to donate directly to the fire station’s charity and then they can distribute, but he’s not sure.

I am thinking a Saturday morning convoy to Mayer.

wait.. I do think I know the Haney's. I believe Ms Haney taught at the school for a bit. I think I remember her.

I am still trying to figure out if/when I'm heading up. It may not be until Saturday evening or Sunday. If so, I can be a secondary drop off or supply run for people that cant make Saturday.

If I go up this weekend, it will be Sunday. Honestly, probably going to hold off until next weekend to go up though. My grandparents are out of town this weekend, so wont be around to help.. but when they get back next weekend, I plan on going up to start cleanup and can take supplies up then too.

    all of the shovels...

Mike Ross is my uncle. Drives a late model white chevy Silverado with a cap on it. He's only lived up there for a few years now.

What time are you shooting to depart tomorrow @Chipskip ?

How are you doing on cargo capacity? I'm shooting to load up the truck bed with water in the morning. Can make room.

My wife and I will probably head for Mayer around 0900 tomorrow morning, should get to the fire station about 1000.

We are hitting up Costco this evening with the money we had donated to get more water, that seems to be the major need right now.
