I actually liked the old mazda pickups. A few buddies had them.

The old Mazdas were Ranger based. The old Isuzus were S10 based. So this could be interesting, if they had some leftover parts. o_O

I wish like hell someone sold in the US what I want: a new compact pickup. 1st gen Tacoma, S-10, Ranger, old Frontier, whatever. That size truck is exactly what I need.

Oh well. Wish in one hand, shit in the other, see which one fills up first, right?

'murica would need to get off supersizing their orders at the Arches for a couple decades. Need to break the bigger is better mentality.

Yeah, they kind of went full circle on pickup design. The Mazda truck was also sold as the Ford Courier and the Isuzu was sold as the Chevy Luv back in the 70s. Heck the Mazda was even sold with a rotary engine. Dodge even sold a small truck built by Mitsubishi.
