I thought it was a good fight. McGregor was the agressor for sure but ran out of steam at the end. He won all the early rounds.

Agreed. Conor did much better than expected. He was classy in defeat and handled himself well in the ring.

Observations:
Floyd looked old and slow compared to his normal self but still used his experience and ring intelligence to outclass his man.

Conor was far better than expected. He did very well keeping the smaller man at range and landed 111 punches. Think about that! Pacquiao, one of the all time greats, only managed 80 some odd shots against Floyd two years ago. What surprised me was mcgregor's lack of power. All pop was gone half way through the bout.

Very predictable outcome but the fight itself was much closer and more entertaining than expected. I got my money's worth

Why are you surprised that a thread was started? There are threads about everything in the world in here for every type of person. Even Game of Thrones has a thread.

This is one of the fights of the century so of course you're going to see insane advertising. No matter which fighter you liked, there was a ton of shit talking but at the end of the day these guys are extremely well paid salesmen.

From the sound of it, you just don't like the inconvenience this adds to your life but you may have chosen the wrong city to live in if that's the case.

I personally enjoyed the shit out of it. I wanted Mayweather to fall to the underdog but the chances were too high for him to win. We all knew that, but McGreggor came out with a good fight and got gassed towards the end. Lots of people estimated that happening as well. He performed a lot better than expected though.

Also take note that Mayweather's "defense" has always consisted of running. He's a points man. He cares solley about money. We saw a different type of fighter last night out of him. Pissed me off that he kept giving up his head and his back once he figured out McGreggor was having a hard time transitioning out of the back hand, but it's all a game.

This fight was getting close to game of thrones, let me tell you that. Yes it is an inconvenience, no I did not have a choice to live here. I actually saw it, didn't have the best seat, but it was well worth it, thanks to some metro friends. Silverback was played hard, rules were broken, Pretty Boy won because no one has a keen eye. They both won though, big time.

And please stop calling people out, its pretty rude. Inform them, don't belittle them.

 

Just blown away at how much prof in any sport are paid. Of course if people are willing to pay crazy amounts to see them play, fight ect they will continue to make huge amounts.
