My 1999 3rz-fe just got diagnosed with low compression because of a burnt exhaust valve. My normal mechanic cant do the rebuild. Does anyone know of a good place in the Seattle area that could rebuild the motor or head?

The truck is in really good shape, but the motor has 198k on it, so deciding if a rebuild is worth it or not as it is an older truck.

I had my head fail on my 3RZ as well and the folks at Pacific Rim Auto in Fremont did an awesome job building me a new head and getting my truck back to 100%, I highly recommend them, the price was fair and they use OEM parts.

Thanks for the recommendation. Just out of curiosity how much did they charge for a new head?

$2500 for new head casting, reshimmed valve clearances, valves matched to valve seats, all of the seals and plugs in the head, new oem head gasket, various other gaskets, new oem thermostat, new spark plugs, and of course labor

Another option is Iron Mike - he's done some work for me with my old 1st Gen Taco... really great guy, small shop in near Covington.
