Mechanic/Shop Recommendations in NY

Hello Everyone,

My older brother has a 2020 Toyota Tacoma SR 4x4 V6. He purchased it from and serviced it at a dealer in upstate New York until recently.

He is looking for a good mechanic either in the greater New York City area (where he works as a FDNY firefighter) or in upstate New York (where he lives) such as Orange County, NY for general maintenance and perhaps some modifications in the future.

Anyone have a mechanic or a shop they would recommend? Thanks in advance.

But for every day repairs just go to any local mechanic you trust. It’s not like these are Porsches that take a bunch of specialized tools and training.
