I just bought a new bottle of McKee's 37 Hydro Blue. I am good till next year but I will be trying the Meg's Ceramic Wax in 2020. Maybe. I am liking the Hydro Blue real well. But a man never knows.

im looking at easier ways to maintain my trucks finish, im getting too tired of stripping off old protection and layering back on new stuff over and over again, im looking for an almost one and done system that works.

Then you might want to try McKee's 37 Hydro Blue. :) I love the stuff!

That I don't know. I just apply it once a month so I couldn't tell you.

This winter I have not done mine for 3 months and it is still on the paint. I use Duragloss Aquawax as a drying agent though after each washing if the wind is not blowing cold and it is around 40 degrees.

I think these spray on after you wash type protections are getting better and better, im getting a little tired of the wash, claybar, wash, polish, seal routine to be honest. although doing a claybar at least once a year is probably a good thing to get rid of contaminents.

Durability will be better than a carnauba type wax as in a month or two months. A sealant that you deliberately wipe on the paint then buff off will generally last many more months than that. Durability will improve if you apply by applicator in the fashion of a wax/sealant/coating rather than spray rinse. Maybe not so much for Hydro2, Hydro Blue type products since they're meant to be rinsed off.

Advantages would be ease of application, most spray on sealants are as simple as spray/wipe or even easier spray/rinse. These products are going to be safe for all surfaces paint, trim, glass, wheels...

Negative would be cost, particularly since most will apply it more frequently (or over apply to the point of waste) so durability isn't an issue. Buy these by the gallon or undiluted if you can and try to catch on a sale with free shipping.

the guy in the MEGUIRES hybrid ceramic video said the better results were to spray it on a wet vehicle and then wipe dry, whereas MEGUIRES instruction were to spray on and rinse. a little elbow grease seems to work better I would think meguires would want you to buy more so using it wastefully benefits them so u buy more

Any one try Top Coat F11? Lots of adds on social media.
I notice most of the cars are new that are in the videos anything with newer paint will look great with little effort.
One guys video he did a tailgate with F11 and several other products and said does nothing for any oxidation. Thoughts?

Some info about Clay, polish and compound.

Clay is for above surface contaminants
(junk that sits on the top of the paint)

When the surface is clean & dry, feel the paint with your hand. If it feels rough, or not completely smooth, this is an indication there are some above surface contaminants present which can be removed with a clay bar. Keep in mind, claying only removes above surface contaminants. The clay step helps us remove that particles so we don't add more scratches. Remember to use a lube.

Compounds and polishes are for below surface contaminants (swirls, scratches).

Polishes are usually less aggressive than compounds. Many include some level of abrasives. They may also include oils and other things to help "temporarily" hide scratches.

Compounds are more aggressive (more and or larger abrasives)

My Tacoma is a 2013 and needs a good detailing.
I see light oxidation and swirl marks when under lights at a gas station or shopping center.

Hope to work on it this weekend.

    Think I'm going to..
    -Meguiar's Ultimate Polish
    -Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax

-Might clay bar hood and roof after seeing how how polish turns out

Checking into Meguiar's ScratchX might use that instead of polish or compond.

Only ever seen anybody asking about F11, NOBODY vouching for it, it's junk. Get a sealant or coating from a place like Autogeek or Detailed Image from proper brands.

    Polishing will help with oxidation.

Clay before a polish not after to avoid the polisher creating more scratches.

ScratchX is for going after one scratch and rubbing out with a finger, use a polish and a machine for going after a whole panel.

Topcoat = snake oil. Better products out there for less.

Scratch X is not meant to use over whole vehicle.
