Sweeten the pot. Throw in a shocker sticker and a metal mulisha sticker that cover entire tailgate. Bro-hoes love that shit

I just realized sometime in the last 2 weeks someone jacked my CB from my truck!! :frusty: Bastards!

Think I'll need one for this trip? Or should I ditch the CB and go ham or race radio?

Who steals a CB, a trucker looking for a bump? Who knows.
If you already have the CB antenna plumbed Id get another CB and add a 2M radio as well. I have the litle Cobra 75 handheld unit and it works well. I run the Kenwood TM-281 for a 2M and it fits nicely in the rectangular pocket next to the shifter on an auto. DO IT

Go with a race radio/ 2meter ameture radio option if you can..the performance and benefits will greatly out weigh any cb setup. Even a standard 5watt handheld (walkie talkie) 2meter ameture/race radio will have better performance then a cb radio.

Since I have not reasonably used my CB radio with in the last 2 and a half years I'm debating rather or not I should just remove it entirely from my taco.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked that someone actually took it. And that's all they took, not my watch, my glasses, my antenna, or any of my tools. Who the hell knows why?

Thanks for the input guys! Looking into those options right now....

2m for sure. Yeasu makes a good option with the ft7900 detachable face

The detachable faces are pretty cool. I like where mine is mounted but it's just a matter of time before a "cold beverage" gets spilled on/in it. If I could do it again id go detachable.

Just discussed in the other MJT run thread, park closed and mandatory evacuations of the Hungry Valley park due to fire. Check with ranger for status on the trail as it gets closer to memorial day.

There was a fire almost exactly the same location last year at this time , only lasted a few days and did not create trail closures..so all is not lost yet.

Well, worst case scenario we can head up to Corral Canyon for the weekend, nice little play ground, plenty of technical trails, several black diamonds, can break as much shit as your heart desires there.

Love my 7900, but if I did it over again I would have done the 8800 so it I could use it as a repeater for a handheld.
