Just wanted to let you all know that I think I'm finally getting my system installed. Getting a memphis pr15 in a sealed box and I'm setting it right behind the drivers seat. I'm hoping this thing will pound!! Anyways just wanted to let you all know and I'll get some pictures up after it happens. If you have any reccomendations on what I should do instead of this let me know ASAP! Thanks guys

Are you sure you want a sealed box with that sub? Generally speaking a well designed ported box will pound harder than a well designed sealed. The down side is that you have to have pay well engineer ported box = expensive in some cases. I got a JL 13.5 W7 in a 2.3 cubic foot ported box but haven't installed it yet.

well the only reason I'm getting a sealed box is because I'd like to be able to use atleast one of my jump seats in the back.

I have mine custom made to fit in the middle of the two seats. So I have both jumper seats that are legal.

I want to take a picture of mine to show you. Mine is getting carpeted right now but it is not a stealth box. It is 1000 watt rms sub. My sub box is 17" wide and take up the pretty much the whole back but the rear seats are still "usable". Good luck with the build

i had this same setup in a 99 mazda xcab too, thats prob more similar in size to a 1g taco a/c

i bought the box / sub on craigs for $140 after i blew up the 2 infiniti 10's that preceded them

personally i dont think ported sounds as good in a open air enviornment ... i used to have a 94 accord with 2 pioneer 12s in a bandpass with a 1000w amp and that shit was loudd ... but didnt hit real clean, but it wasnt bad in the trunk.

i usually dont roll with it turned up and ive only had my toyota a few weeks, but yes it hits pretty hard, ashtray comes out the dash with it turned up ... im assuming a memphis 15 with a bigger amp could probably hit a lot harder than my setup cause i only have a 600.1 jbl pushing it
