Perhaps solo. I do have a couple of friends with 4WD vehicles that may come along, somewhat unlikely I need to get my plan firmed up before asking others. Most likely I'll do the Green tour. I generally do not like tours, but for a first visit a tour may be the way to go.

Post up some feedback. I'm interested in this place, but it's a 10 hour drive to get there.

Just got back from camping at the canyon and really wish I also made time for a driving tour. Beautiful but you need to go before summer hits!

Which tour did you sign up for? I'm excited for this trip, Merus AP, Caprock Canyon SP and Palo Duro Canyon SP. I'll drive into Palo Duro Canyon in Merus AP, hike The Lighthouse trail in PDSP and hopefully see a buffalo in Caprock Canyon SP.

Sorry we decided not to go this year I am in the middle of building a pool & with gas prices decided that money & time would be better spent staying home & working on this project.
I can't wait to hear about your trip please keep this thread updated.

Did the Green Tour today, had a blast! The Green Tour includes, steep ascents and descents, tons of blind hills, dips, ruts, dry creek crossings and tons of great scenery. Our guide was Christine and she did a great job, very nice person and a pleasure to be around. After I go through the photos I'll post a link.
They are adding mountain biking trails and hiking trails as well.
I highly recommend Merus Adventure park, it's time well spent!

Super old thread. But I live in Amarillo just a few min away from Merus. This weekend is the first trip for me and the first for my 19 trd offroad. I'd love to see a group trip of some tacomas!

Let me know how it is!

I’ll be there on March 4th. Going to off-road the 4th, camp that night and leave the 5th. I have “boots off site 8” reserved.

It was a great time out for me and the family. I cant wait to get back out there. The membership stuff is kind of limiting but I may be on another blue tour the weekend you are out there!
