    I have 2020 OEM LED headlights, yes. I have a 2016 Tacoma, yes. I have MESO v5 mirror switchbacks but have not yet installed them, only bench tested them. With red wire they go full bright, with white wire they go dim. Everything looks and works as expected.

    The DRL T tap I provide in my headlight conversion harness provides the same two signals that the MESO DRL T tap provides, DRL and Park. The only difference with my v5 module vs MESO's is I provide a 5' pigtail with 3/16" pvc tubing to feed through the firewall so you can connect inside the driver side kick panel vs inside the engine bay. Which isn't a significant difference but I tend to prefer keeping my engine bay clean and accumulating clutter in my kick panels.

    Harnesses don't "work differently" when they are just wires connected to terminals. You need relays or circuits to "work differently".

    As stated several times, high beams on or off does not affect the DRL signal. DRL is off once low beams are on and stays off with high beams (as low beams are still active). I think you are getting hung up on this piece of information.

    When the parking light signal is active, the v5's will receive +12v on the white wire and will go dim. The only time the v5's are bright is when the DRL (red wire) has +12v and the parking light (white wire) does not.

    I know of no difference in ECU behavior between trucks with halogen headlights and trucks with LED headlights. My OEM LED headlights behave exactly as Caribe has described.

    I thought the harness only worked if you have halogen headlights, and those of us with the factory LEDs were out of luck? The Meso site specifically says, “DRL PNP Harness (Non LED Headlights).”

    I have to say, I do kind of like the "full bright DRL" mode with high beams idea. Though I might even want that for the headlights themselves. I am not sure on current draw though, so not sure a 1amp diode would be sufficient to combine DRL and High to feed the MX-150 DRL pin.

    I'm not sure anyone could see it though, with all the low and high beam emitters firing.

    That combination works just fine on the bench if I turn on all of the pins except turn (full bright DRL, TRD logo, high beam emitters, low beam emitters).

    Don't combine, High Beams feeds the relay coil.
    Diode is to prevent DRL going to BRIGHT. (If that is what is wanted) if not, it stays the same, a tap to DRL to V5's.

    What could the issue? As mentioned before I do not see any difference in brightness in the meso v5 DRL no matter what position my stalk is. The meso v5 DRL has constant light in Auto, DRL (Parking), and On.

    Get a meter out and probe. And/or add photos of how you connected things at the headlight and where the v5 harnesses join. If hooked up properly you should see no DRL when stalk is off, bright when on DRL, dim at all other times.

    Rasta mode FTW. It's kind of fun but honestly the full bright C is drowned by the high and low beam emitters so juice not really worth the squeeze.

    If hooked up properly you should see:

    bright when on DRL - can't tell if dim or bright, light just on
    dim at all other times - - can't tell if dim or bright, light just on



    I thought turning on brightness on headlights affected v5 DRL brightness as well and dimming on headlights affected v5 dimming, I was wrong in assuming this, I apologize.

    I have a meter but I don't know what to probe. I will get photos after work.

    Another important detail for anyone not familiar. You have to release the parking brake once to activate the DRL signal from the ECU. You can put it back up after.
