Meso V5 turn signals are out!!!!

For anybody looking to "slum" it lol. I've got a set of never installed Ultimate Turns for sale in the marketplace.

 

Anyone know if this is “expected”? Or is the amber supposed to wrap to the side edge like my cheapo sequential do?

 

Faulty light. Should wrap all the way across

 

That is how my initial ones showed up. It was a known fault in some of the boards being pinched in the sealing process. Meso was good about sending me a replacement

I'll likely have a set for sale once I take care of this swap. I don't think they look as nice as my $50 sequentials.

 

Yeah, thanks, I got one swapped due to DRL showing that but I think these drl's are good based on my prior bench testing, just never tested the turns till now b/c I didn't have the turn connector and didn't want to risk doing two bare terminals that close.

 

I like them a lot. They’re my favorite options for headlights. I haven’t had any problems. I assume they’re first gen. I got them when the first came out back when everyone ordered and had to wait months.

 

Greetings all! New to the forum I just wanted to thank everyone for all their insightful info on this mod! I’m receiving my pair later today and decided to hook them up to direct power. My question for you guys is can I tap directly into the harness that powers my DRLs? It’s a three wire harness. Pink, green, and a white/black wire.

 

I installed just one light on my passenger side using single t taps and wired the red to pink and white to green they are running at all times but I don’t notice a bright or dim change when I’m switching my headlights on or off

 

Yes if you like doing that sort of thing. MESO sells a $15 T harness to avoid having to cut. I sell more expensive stuff to do roughly the same thing but also other things too.

 

Got mine yesterday but the V5 DRL pigtails are NOT in the box.


@MESO can I get some pigtails please? I even wrote a ticket before this shipped out and Austin S. said he took care of it. It’s order #86309. I wish the pigtails were already included. Is this the same pigtails you’ll provide minus the vampire clips?

There should be two wires each to tap. One is bright and the other is DIM. If you only tap one wire you only get one mode, only bright or only DIM

 

How are everyone’s V5’s holding up? I’ve had the ultimate turn signals and they been solid. Seems like there are a some not good reviews for the V5’s.

Curious on the same thing

 

Mine are still fully functional (as installed). I was in the first batch and had issues like @daveeasa above, but MESO swapped mine out with another set and I have been good to go ever since. I believe only the first batch of the V5's had issues and it was quickly resolved.

 

V5 Amber Installed MAY ‘22 still functional.

 

The red and white wire that go to the MESO adapter at the headlight, if I hook them both up, my DRL‘s are dim …however, if I disconnect them and then I take my red wires and connect them to the white wire at the MESO adapter at the headlight they are nice and bright. Can I just leave the red wire connected to the white wire? Seems to be working fine
