    Holly Cow there is a lot of info here.
    I bought the V5s during black Friday and have read through this a few times. Last I looked post #414 was the last.

    Now you guys have me second guessing this install. Which I was going to do tomorrow.

    I have a 2023 Trail Edition. I have FORM headlights and the DRL is Ignition on for them. MESO did include the headlight T harness but, I was going to use the door wires instead.
    I'm ok with the V5s being Ignition powered (Canadian style) can I just hook them up as they show here... https://mesocustoms.com/pages/3rd-gen-tacoma-switchback-turn-signal-installation

    I am probably over thinking this but just wanted confirmation.
    If I want Ignition on V5 drl, follow their install with the door wires?
    Also, the single Bright connection will work and I can skip the dim connection? (Dim seems a little pointless reading through all this thread.
    I'm sure this is a redundant question but 25 pages has my head spinning.

    If you wire to the door illumination, you will get the drls come on with ignition, and depending on how you have it wired, it will be either dim or bright on Ignition, and the opposite when the lights go on.
    If you wire to the door illumination, you will get drls on with ignition, which would normally be bright, then dim with headlights on. I'm not sure if you wire only one wire that you will get only bright option. The thing i didn't like about the door illumination wiring is you had no way to turn the drls off. So let's say you pull into a parking lot and night and are just hanging out, your drls will be on if headlights are off, and won't go off til ignition goes off. In your case it would be the bright option which would be very bright at night time. Luckily for me, dave hooked me up with a harness that taps into the headlight harness, so I get dim with drls, and bright with headlight on, and off with headlight off.

    @808stateofmind
    Thank you for the clarification.

    I'm going to use the door wires and just hooking the bright wire up, see what happens and go from there.
