Definitely, something else fun to do at camp after dark. My wife and I stay up past midnight sometimes just walking around the camp with the light.

Oh yeah, if you think scorpions are scary, wait until you see them glowing all around you at night with this!

I would dig seeing scorpions at night with that light! That would be cool!

When I lived in Vegas I used to do a sweep inside and out for scorpions with a standard UV light during the summer. I was rarely disappointed.

Not really related, but a good story...I have a buddy that crawled into a sleeping bag while on a turkey hunt in TX years ago and a scorpion stung him in the balls. Was funny as hell for everybody but him.

But no, maybe at camp or another place sometime... back to detectin’!

Ok, so I am going to cut open some of the hot magnetic rocks I got at Franconia just to see if there is any visible metal inside, but so far they look like iron rich rhyolite and mine don’t have a classic looking fusion crust. Maybe I got skunked on meteorites, but we did a nice recon of the Northern area and know it pretty well- sure is pretty out there and I’m already thinking about a return trip!

Meteorite or Meteorwrong? (Still working on it...)

If they’re at the gold patch you found, give Will and I the coordinates and we’ll go pick them all up for you! ;)
