    @Taco Muchin I was talking to a member in our club from Bakersfield he sold a Keene puffer to a guy he met in Goler wash many moons ago he thinks that guy lives in Lone Pine he is going to try to dig up his phone # and see if he can help us with our outing.

    I didn't know that a placer claim can be put on top of a lode claim too (which isn’t a bad idea if the lode has been eroding out), and if you look at a map of them, the lode claims are rectangular to a maximum size of 1500’ x 600’, and individual placer claims are 20 acres square.
