Cool! That’s a big thunderegg if its one of those! What color is the darker ring?

I learned a good idea from an old desert rock hound to mark a line straight down from the top to the bottom of those before pulling them out of a hole - it gives you an idea on which way to cut or break it across the grain- if it has fill lines inside, they will show up nicely like this:
    A1FCB3FC-5715-4606-A406-3072AAC2433F.jpg

Cut from top down, don’t cut across the sides to get the best lines.

Yours looks like there’s some beautiful crystals inside, that’s really neat. Good find!

Hey guys, I’m selling a brand new Gold Monster 1000 (I got as a GPAA promotion) and a lightly used SDC-2300 on fleabay- The SDC has an auction bid right now for $2850, but the gold monster has none which means if someone here wants to buy it I can give you a offer sale on eBay. Don’t bid on the gold monster, that locks out the offer option, just let me know if you want it and I can do a direct sale as an offer as long as nobody bids on it (It’s currently starting auction price at $700, so I can sell it directly for that as an offer sale) I’m “eumops-calls” on fleabay.

The SDC works fine, and the GM is brand new in a unopened box, it’s just that Im not using the SDC as I have two other VLF and PI favorites, a GM and GPZ.

    Edit: both were sold.

Getting “too invested” in it is kind of easy... o_O If you’re ever near Quartzsite or Yuma, let me know. I’m into looking for gold and meteorites near there.

I just received my Minelab Gold Monster-1000. I’m totally psyched! Charging the batteries right now. Gonna take it out first thing tomorrow. I’m in southern NM, kinda wishing I lived in AZ. Been watching a bunch of videos of guys pulling nuggets out of the desert. If I get even a few flakes here I’ll be happy.
