Got a spare lower to go with it?
I'm trying to find carbon fiber lowers and an upper. I also need a gold screamer power pack. Still lugging the A frame. Damn it's tough swinging that for seven hours.

I have a new Miner John carbon fiber shaft with 2 minelab lowers to sell- it is for the Gold Monster, but it’s the same setup used for a GP/GPX. The only difference is you will have to drill the two mounting holes on the top end for the box screws, but only try doing that if you know how to drill carbon fiber shafts... He sells them for $100/ I have an extra aet I don’t want. PM me if interested.

As for weight reduction, get a hipstick-
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/HipStick-2-0-basic-kit-/123718476652

They really work well. Just get the basic kit and buy a 5/18” dowel cut at 22” or so (they say 2” less than your torso length) and get a heavy duty true value long bungee cord and their basic carabiner clips. I clip mine onto my pack and ditched the Minelab harness setup. You will love it.

I also ditch the minelab harness. I have a hydration pack and also carry food batteries extra pinpointer camera a small defense unit and first aid kit in mine. It's a long hike to the pickup.

First outing to an intresting spot. My first time usage of my Minelab Equinox 800 with a 15" coil The structure in the sand is what remains of a large pic - 1.jpg gambling barge that was driven aground during a fierce squall. It was anchored offshore duing the prohibition, so technically it was legal for drinking and gambling. Rumor has it that the occasional siver dollar can be found and that there is a second safe that was never recovered. It only surfaces duing extreemly low tides. I struck out today, but I will be back.

Someone close by to me posts a lot in the summer months on Craigslist trying to find the owners of rings...etc. he finds at local beaches and recently heard someone on the radio telling how he tries to match owners to their lost items at the same beach.

    That's really cool!
Quite a few folks over on TreasureNet talk about reuniting jewelry with their owners.
    A noble persuit!
