After seeing some of the cool stuff you guys have been finding, I updated my VLF with a great deal I got on a a NOX 800 to do more than just hunt for gold. My Gold Monster has been awesome for finding small bits of gold and lots of flying lead fragments, but it is a bit limited to other deeper stuff and salty soil types. But I still want to look for gold with the Nox too, so was wondering if anyone here uses a 600 or 800 for gold with the bitty 6” coil? Are they worth it over the stock 11”?

You’re gonna need a microscope to see the gold a 6” will find... I would be inclined to stick with the Monster for small gold. You can’t beat it.

I have the 6” for the 800 but have yet to use it.

    Why are miners bullies?

Because they like to pick on rocks to get their gold.

Last night before the rain started I thought I would make my Thursday morning trash run. I stopped at one house with 2 vintage brass lamps outside in great condition and while I was there popped the lid on their trash barrel and saw an odd cloth sack with a Hallmark box inside that made a giggle when I shook it so I grabbed that too. After finishing my route and getting gas, I opened the box and found a vintage Hamilton ladies watch and what looked like diamonds on the face and around the band too. When I got home I put it under the eye loop and on the back was 14k and the band was marked 10k, the diamonds on the band look real with a total weight of 15.6 grams.

Last week I found my first Platinum ring and a bunch of gold and sterling jewerly with a home with a for sale sign in front. There were a bunch of gardening tools, antique tin-type pictures, and a vintage Pulsar watch (the first led watch made).

I have to replace the battery in my phone, but if you want to see pictures of these I could see if my old digital camera will work.

After trying to charge one of my lithium batteries on my old digital camera with no luck, it occurred to me if I left my iPhone plugged in the battery in it wouldn't need to hold a charge, so here they are:

The Vintage Hamilton ladies watch I found still works, there are 20 large diamonds around the band not counting what is on the watch face (sorry if they aren't rotated correctly, and if there are too many pictures I will delete some):

The first jewelry group is all gold, the single ring is platinum, and the second group is all sterling silver.

Haha, that was my face after putting the watch under a loupe and seeing 14k/10k and realizing those diamonds are legit. I found a Mac Pro a few months ago that needed a cable for the hard drive replaced, so hope to get that working soon.
