Hope you all had a good Turkey Day! We spent Turkey day Week out in Utah. I seriously overloaded Mulita with 4 extra people + their gear , RTT, propane, 15gals extra gas, 30 gals of water, dutch ovens and cast iron griddles, in addition to the trailer and she did really well!614F0AA2-190C-45AA-BFB5-ECA8CD62E87D.jpg

    No detecting though…

I did just go out yesterday to meet up with a guy from our area to pickup a new VLF detector. It’s a Garrett 24k. I sold my Gold Monster to my Az bud because he decided he really needed it after trying it out where he’s at (I loaned it to him but he kept it and sent me money for it).I asked if he broke it or lost it and he said no, but still wouldn’t say why he needed it so badly.
    Hmm…

Yeah, maybe, but I bet I know why he really needed one - he probably forgot it somewhere! He forgot half of his Thompson I got for him at one site but luckily found it still there the next time he went back! Those things are hard to replace. He does know where to find gold though, you may be right.

Curious if you ever used a Whites 24k or MXT(?) if so, what did you think?

I ran a GMT for a while but I found the sound to be super annoying.

Ah, meant a GMT. Besides the Threshold noise, how well dit it work for you?

The 24k can adjust that, still playing with it but it seems to be pretty good compared to the GM with its adjustable ground balance. Sensitive too with the 6” coil.

What are you using nowadays for your Gold? Just the PI’s or any VLF’s?

I haven't been out for gold in a while. I use both, depending on where I'm going.
