Ok , tried a used GB2 and had a heck of a time balancing it, anyone here use one? Its so sensitive, the guy selling it had a tiny fleck of nugget go off with it but I couldn’t hack it.

I may try for something newer and easier but still want a VLF unit (small stuff like meteorites and nuggets).

Yeah, and I know the difference between meteorites and horse poop! ;)

I have run a Gold Bug II for several years. They are super sensitive!!! You must use a scoop to isolate your finds because the unit will go off just by waving your hand next to the coil. I friend told me that the GB2 can detect the minerals in your blood... Not sure how true that statement is, but I know the thing is sensitive. It was the gold standard (pun:D) for years as THE detector for small gold.

Well, I started my chores for the day, and then said screw this! I went out for a couple hours and pulled one coin. My first Indian!
It has a little goop on it that won't come off with dish soap...
