    Any advantage to bigger coil?

Oh Wow, a Forum Full of Experts.
    Primarily they provide more depth.
They also provide greater coverage which, in theory, improves detecting efficiency.

    ^^^ THIS ^^^

The reasons why I said in an older post about it always being a good idea for having different types of coils.:fistbump:

Sniper type coils and/or similar, for example, are good for super trashy areas, but covering aLOT of ground is harder to do.

The ones I recover from the beach are usually in bad shape. Salt does a number on them.

Yeah, I'll post up some more finds from the beach soon. Not only that, the time change is about two weeks from now and I'll have more time to MD after work.

Right now, the sun goes down too fast and just no quality time to do any real MD'ing.

    But yeah, they get HAMMERED!!!

In my experience the appraisal usually comes in right around where it needs to be. Everybody involved wants those numbers to come in.
