Well, I got my truck all back together and running, but I got a huge vacuum leak where the intake meets the head. You can hear the hiss as soon as you get near the front of the truck. I took my time cleaning the mating surfaces and used a torque wrench. The engine is a 2.4L (2RZFE) and the Toyota manual mentioned nothing about putting any kind of sealant on the gasket. I think I am going to just try and run a nice heavy bead on the outside of the flange and call it good. I can't have my truck sidelined any longer.

Yeah, it is identical to the old gasket. I'm just going to take the whole intake assembly off and RTV both sides of all the associated gaskets. Both my front brakes are stuck on, so I've got plenty of time now to go ahead and tear into it again.
