One of my local go to metal supply shops closed up around October 2021 and sold off everything. They were my main source of metal "cut offs" sold by the pound. Conveniently, they were only a few miles from me, so quick random trips there was a breeze.

I am actively looking for another reliable metal supply shop that keeps us hobbiest happy anywhere west of Portland, maybe even south a bit.

I know of Clackamas Steel and I've been out there many years ago before I moved out to Forest Grove 25 years ago.

So, if anyone can point me to any metal supply, fabrication or other similar shops you know of that sells steel, stainless, and/or aluminum tube/bar/plate by the pound or at least in smaller/shorter quantities please post up.

I have projects coming up that I need to source material for, and with my primary shop no closed for good, I'm sort of over a barrel.

    Thx!!!

Maybe ask in your regional Forum

Do a internet search make some phone calls There are a bunch of places .

    Check Local Scrap yards

That is what I did when in strange areas .

Just much easier to toss drops in the scrap dumpster

many places unless you have a account might not want to deal with walk ins.

    Thanks bud.
All great suggestions. Many of which I have already done, will do or in the process of doing.

TW was just another angle to try as there are a lot of DIY metal fab folks here that rely on cutt offs by the pound, or discounted by the foot.

Again, thank you for your input!
