I just saw some pics of the bumper... it looks like the skid will fit just fine! Want me to put you down for one?

Wanted to post a pic of a cool skid I'm working on. This one will be getting a red backplate behind the autobot symbol

Will these fit with an Elite bumper?

These work with most bumpers, can you link a pic of the bumper you are referring to?

Alright, so I'm definitely interested. I do, however, have to clear such purchases through my wife. So I have a few questions, and please excuse me if they are stupid ones.

    1. Is the shipping a flat rate regardless of location? (i.e. I live in DFW)
    2. How much do these weigh?
    3. How much is the non-group buy price?
    4. Does this interfere with lift kits? I assume not, but just have to ask. I'm looking to go ~3" once the truck is paid off.
    5. I know you said it should work with the other bumpers that people have asked about. Are there any bumpers that you know of that do not work with this skid?
    6. Last, and probably of least importance, are you planning on doing any other skids in the future? i.e. gas tank, rear diff., etc.?

I'm probably not interested in any designs. Maybe the TRD, but probably not...

...but I would like to get one in the future. As of right now, I like the ARB the most.

    I understand how it goes!

    1. Yes, shipping is flat rate. The size of the box and the weight dictate it. I actually cover the additional costs on the further destinations.
    2. 2nd gen skids are abou 30 lbs
    3. These are actually the regular price, I try to do them in batches to improve turn around time. I'm able to give a heads up to my guys so they know the plates are coming.
    4. For the most part they do not, unless you get into something to where you have to cut up your crossmember for the higher lifts.
    5. I actually havent seen a bumber these wouldnt work on yet. But as a general rule of thumb, if the stock plate works, then this will too.
    6. I am planning on doing some more skids when I get a little bit of time. I've toyed around with a gas tank skid, so I just need to wrap up the design.

I hope this enough info to get wife clearance you need!

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with

I'm workin on her...I think she'll come around, but it takes some convincing. I think she knows that I'll be onto the next mod if she gives in too easily. If she makes me work for it, she doesn't have to hear about my truck for a few weeks. I'll let you know if I get permission.

    Look at build!
For anyone worried about the skid fitting with a aftermarket bumper, it will fit as long as teh stock crossmember for the skids is still in place but if you get an aftermarket bumper and manage to rip that ghey thin shitty factory crossmember off like i did then you can mount the skid up like ive done mine by drilling out holes on the OR bumper crossmember and welding nuts to the inside of the crossmember (I went ahead and ugraded to 1/2" bolts)...It turned out perfect and the flow from the bumper skid to the metalmiller skid is about perfect as ever
