Micro SD card part #

Does anyone have the part # for the updated SD card for the non-JBL head unit. I have a 2017 with the non-JBL head unit, and would like to update the navigation info. Pics of head unit to confirm would be greatly appreciated, as well as any comments. Thanks TW folks, Happy Thanksgiving

I just spoke with someone at the local Toyota dealership (parts dept.) to see if Toyota has a compatible part. They do, but $179. I realize the aftermarket parts can be sketchy, but that's quite a difference in $. Thanks to all

 

okay, so dumb question is can you just burn an update from a new card over to another SD card?

 

I have this in my 2018 Taco and can confirm it works 100%. I too was concerned about the sketchy-ness but this is the second card I bought (last years version and this years version) and have had no issues with either.

 

Same here. You don’t get the latest maps with the aftermarket cards, but it is fairly current (maybe 1-2 years old).
I had one glitch (the head unit froze) with the latest card, but it cleared up and no issues since.

 

I don't have the part # presently but don't waste your money. It didn't make any difference on my 2018. The navigation sucks. I got sick of the unreliable Entune and just upgraded my entire sound system with a Kenwood Head and much better speakers. I now have built in Garmin and Android Auto

 

Eh, it works. It's going to be a lot cheaper to get a new card than a new head unit. Not to mention it is very nice to have built in navigation that doesn't require cell service or drain your phone battery/kill it by leaving it constantly plugged in.

 

There's no difference between the map data that's on this card vs the card you'd buy directly from Toyota. The dates and versions are the same, but yes, the data on all the cards will be up to 12 months behind.

 

I also bought this for my 2018. Works perfect. No issues. It even came with an update for the headunit which was nice.

 

Wow. Glad you made out. Mine came with an update also. I even looked up the part number to make sure that I was getting the most super seeded one. There was absolutely no improvement with nav. It always was wrong no matter where I was going. Always ending up at the wrong destination. That's really frustrating. And I don't no where they get there Gracenotes but they are some bad ugly pics of most of the musicians and bands. I wish they used plain album art like every other steaming device does. I've had my new audio set up for about a week or so. Still learning all the goodies but extremely happy with it.
