Really hoping I can make this work. Is there a way to make a group chat on either FB messenger or maybe a Discord server for everyone planning on going?

We've been planning everything right here... this thread is the group chat.
Where are you coming from, how many days, alone or with a friend, etc.?
Does your ride have sliders and skids? A lift? These 3 things are a must.
Have you checked the OP? That has the itinerary.
If you can make this happen, it's gonna be fun.

I have a 3” lift, 33.5” tires, and nerf bars from n-fab, and right now I just have the stock TRD skid plates.

I only brought up something for a groups chat because I just forget to check this because I don’t get push notifications for new posts on my phone that’s all.

Right now I’m planning on the whole trip, possibly with another friend and his Tacoma too. It’d be my first time going to Moab.

Perfect. We all seemed to have pulled into our own little corners as most of the plans have been made. 3 of the others are convoying from Wi. One is hooking up with them from Chicago and meeting a couple in the Denver area. Then the 5 (6?) will parade to Moab. I will be in Moab on Friday and try to get everybody a campsite. No guarantees that enough sites will be available. It's 1st come 1st serve.

If you want a front skid, I have one I can give you. It's a BP Fab for a 2nd Gen, it fits on the 3rd Gen too. I just bought a full set from IronMan 4x4. It will be much better than the stock for Moab. We'd just have to meet up somewhere.

We'd be happy to have you join.

Right now I am going to be meeting @Taco-Grinder in Fond Du Lac on the March 23rd and well be driving to Des Moines and camping for the night. In the AM on the 24th @pearing will be meeting up with us and then heading out towards Denver.

Would you want to join the convoy leaving out of WI? Could probably meet you around Madison.

Regretfully I must say at this time I don't think our group can handle any more trucks. Right now we're looking at a group of 8-9. I never would have imagined that there would have been so much interest. We don't want to get so big that it's hard to enjoy the trail in a timely manner or end up blocking the Trails for others.

I will be updating the fist post with this as well. I'll also be updating the itinerary in the second post with trail head meeting times soon.

I’d probably split into 2 groups with that many people.

Oh hell yeah! This thing is at least 3/16" thick, if not 1/4" and extends up further. The TRD looks nice but is maybe half as thick.
    upload_2023-1-17_19-35-38.jpg

The reason I'm pulling it off is because it won't play nice with my new bumper and rather than cut it, I bought a different one (actually, a full set) that would.

    A few.
    Per this info above ^

The Utah OHV Education Course is really easy, open book test format. I did it in less than 1/2 an hour on Sunday.

Afterwards I sent in my application for my GMRS license and received my license/call sign today. About another 30 minutes +/-, $35.00 and you’re good for 10 years.

This is the YouTube University video I used to guide me through the license application process.

Glad you got it all figured out! I don't think that FCC web site has been updated since the birth of the internet lol.

Also that GMRS license covers you and your immediate family.
