I just notice that under gender of the seller ( thepre ), its a female . WOW this is strange . When you guys have called the number , was it a male or female that answered ???????

I personally would call the police and get the ball rolling...I feel that the longer you wait, the more difficult it will be to remedy the situation.

There will have to be an electronic record of this transaction. His information is available, but you'll have to take some kind of legal recourse to resolve this issue. His email will have a record and so will his cell#. It's just not made available to general public. The internet has a e-paper trail...

 

Op do me a favor and PM me any info you have on this person. I used to find deadbeats like this and a lot of friends are still doing it.

 

As does any info posted on or given to the forum.

 

If he can show me a charge for the shipping I would be fine. I'm sure he used a card like most people, so maybe he can do that and all of this will go away.

I got scammed once for a laptop.Shame on me.Since then it is cash in hand or paypal.I've also sold some fishing stuff for postal money orders.The buyers knew I wasn't shipping until funds cleared.Good luck op.I sent the seller a pm with a link to this thread.

Changed the title to reflect the shenanigans that have gone on since the creation of this thread. I will be contacting the authorities tomorrow regarding this to see what options I can take.

I agree bro! I offered a skid plate for free only on TW. I didn't want to post it on CL (otherwise I would have tried to make enough for a case of beer) some dude pulls up to my house after texting me that he saw it on TW (I didn't check who he was). I asked him when we gonna wheel, he said, oh, that aint my thing, but nice truck. My truck will never look like that....Then I check his profile the next day, 1 post count......I would have rather it gone to an ACTUAL TW member

That phone number is linked to , which is linked to that Facebook account.

 

100% sure. That event was from 2011 and the seller has a photo of his truck for sale on his facebook page, so I know it's him.

 

I'm not sure about this, but if you made the purchase through your bank, you can go to the bank and say you never got the goods. They would investigate and return your money if your claim is true. I had a situation where I ordered wheels from a local shop. I put $500 down payment to order, and paid cash when they were suppose to mount them. Wheels didn't fit unless I lifted but was promised a different offset to make them fit and was told it would take another week. So I go back after a week and the shopped was closed. I told my bank about it, got that money back, but no cash.
Maybe you can try your bank.
