So for those of you with the 4 cylinder and were thinking about upgrading to auto dimming mirror I have quick question about the features. I found a great guide on how install a new mirror but my question is regarding if our 4 cylinder will support a new mirror with a compass and temp? The compass should be fine but will the temp work? I am guessing there is no way to make it read it the outside temperature that is pretty simple. Anyone have any thoughts? Yes I did search this but could not find anything about adding a mirror with a TEMP option.

You would need to run the temp sensor that comes with the mirror install kit to the front of the radiator near where the current temp sensor (for the ECM) is mounted.

    Should be an easy install.

I have the auto-dim / compass mirror that was in my last two Rav4s in my Tacoma now.

If I had bought a new mirror, I would have definitely bought a mirror with temp (and probably HomeLink) in addition to compass.

Pinktaco my4runner had a compass and temp display in the mirror, my Tacoma doesn't even have an auto-mirror so i was looking at installing one with all the options
