Well I gotta hand it to you then because you have some balls to be able to invest the money into the truck and just go out and race it without a lot of testing in the desert. You need a second home on the west coast so you can leave the truck there and run it more often. Heck you'd save a ton on shipping alone

No kidding! A move out west has been bouncing around in my head for awhile. Just a matter of timing.

Shipping isn't too bad since I tow it myself. I try to pack the cross-country drive full of scenic stops to make it part of the vacation instead of just a means to get to the race. :)

Load-over trailer fenders are just about done. A little sheet-metal trimming and installation of the driver's side left.

Should be ready tomorrow evening. :)

I did chuckle as I was pulled the wheels and positioning the jack stand under the thing. :p

VERY excited about this mod. I got tired of having to remove the fenders every time I loaded/unloaded the Tacoma, and the last time I pulled them off I forgot where I placed them in the driveway and drove right over the things. Flattened 'em but good!

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
So, you are making the trailer offraod capable too? Most guys to the truck off the trailer to race it.

The Ford and trailer made it as far up the Primm course as the Tacoma last year, and they actually made it back with the Tacoma loaded up.

The trailer has to be offroad capable to recover the race vehicle. I even have a winch mount on the front of the trailer facing backwards so I can drag a non-rolling vehicle onto the thing if need be.
