Looks like the bulk of the damage is just in the extended cab doors though right?

That truck has had a rough life so far, but it keeps coming back for more. Hope it's not too expensive to repair Mike.

I think the kickouts helped with the damage I got on my driverside back door.

Bingo! New besides and a junkyard door should fix me right up.

Hells yeah. It ended up being a great day once we got off those stupid off-camber trails. WAY too slick to be messing around on that stuff.

    Par for the course. ;)

Nothing mechanical broke in the last 2 times I've been wheeling so I'm really pleased. With some luck I'll find a white door and won't have to worry about paint. If it's another color I'll rattle can it. The fiberglass is only primer so it'll blend right in.

SBX-3100. The software will even overlay Google Maps to show exactly where I was. Nice package, although I'd like to swap the front camera to a 90 degree one instead of the 170 degree that's currently in the truck. I have a second camera pointed backwards but it hasn't caught anything interesting yet.

I plan on modding my sliders to install some after this mishap.

    Dude, I suck. :anonymous:

    Good memory!

I've done far worse. At least this break is only a bunch of bolt-ons.

That kind of carnage is what got me off the rock crawling scene. Your a brave man Mike to keep incurring that kind of carnage. Thats why I decided to do the go-fast stuff and get off those jeep trails.

My door got mangled on a trail in Mass.

^ Ooof! Did you go with a junkyard door to fix that?

I usually do pretty well on the trails because the guys I wheel with run full width axles under their Jeeps. If they fit, I generally will to. This was just one of those stupid hits that should never have happened.

WAY too little traction that day and gravity got the better of me.

No I got a new door skin and had the dealer paint it. Not bad considering the dealer was cheaper than the local paint shops. I had zero business on that trail even with all my armor. My truck was way too wide for that place.

Ok, inventory time for me. I'm broke and have a bunch of parts lying around. I think it's time to put the truck back on some stands and catch up on maintenance.

. Rear air bumps and strike plates on the axle
. Longer, stiffer front coils to address my coil bind issues
. Air bumps on the front, although that's gonna require some creativity to fit everything
. New door (as cash allows)
. New bedsides (as cash allows)
. Clean up the wiring under the hood (group buy! http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/group-buys/137136-group-buy-fuse-block-ends-feb-15th.html)
. Work out a winch storage location while wheeling (multi-mount goes in the receiver when needed)
. Work on some alternate leaf spring ideas to give me more lift in the rear

That oughta keep me busy for a bit. Nice, easy stuff that's light on the wallet is a welcomed change.
