    Holy crap my thead's had activity?!

    Truck is still intact and, as of this past week, back in use! New custom width fabricated Ford 9" rear axle, regeared to 4.56 gears, hydroboost braking system is in place, cleaned up some wiring, and got the emissions system to play nice with the fuel cell.

    Driving around yesterday brought to light a couple of wear items that I'll be addressing shortly. New rack & pinion bushings are on order and front wheel bearings will be replaced soon after.

    I have to dig up the photos, but I actually had rust *inside* one of the rear shock reservoirs. I pressured the shocks and one of them leaked like whoa. Popped the cap off the reservoir and there was so much rust inside and past the o-ring that was supposed to be sealing everything.

    Ended up running a cylinder hone through the thing to clean up the surface. Worked remarkably well!

    Lemme get those skidplates mounting up! :D

    Switched to spring-over-axle when I installed the new rear because I'm tired of bending leaf springs on rocks
    Re-geared to 4.56
    Hydroboost brakes so I no longer need two feet to stop
    Fiberglass work to make the bedsides stable again
    NJ inspection law changes mean I'm legal for the road again

    And I'm driving. :cool:
