    If you must know...

I worked for a tech startup company in the late 90's, got in before their IPO, and was smart enough to sell the stock before the market came crashing down. I took that money and bought 10 acres of land in NJ in 2000. It was obvious the real estate market was gonna crash, so I sold that in 2005.

At that point I quit my job and took 6 months to relax. Spent a solid 30 days riding my motorcycle around the country, did a lot of rock climbing, and generally enjoyed life. Once I was back in NJ I was offered a job as a programmer at a small tech company and have been here since.

All this time I've been salivating over the failing economy and waiting for the right time to jump back into real estate. Give it another 2 years. :)

She's my most profitable investment yet! :D

I live too far from the border. By the time it gets here the markup is already insane. ;)

    :bananadance:

I mean, I admit to nothing.

    If only I could!!

The SCORE Primm 300 in September is my target race for this year. Figure it's perfect -- no prerunning allowed, no chase vehicles allowed, designate pit area, it's in the US, it's short enough to do on 1 tank of fuel, and it's a big loop so I'll never be too far from support if/when it's needed.

I need to work out the details of getting the cage re-certified for the new year, but it'll be cheaper to fly the SCORE tech guy out here than it will be to drive back out to CA again.

I'm going to plan a Vegas vacation around the race since I'll be there anyway. I'll let you know the details once I have them worked out!
