Reassembled the passenger side suspension with the new spindle, fixed some wiring issues under the hood (stuff apparently got too close the exhaust manifold and melted), and drove the heap out of the garage last night!

Tonight it's getting 2 replacement leafs in the driver's side pack, new u-bolts, and will be loaded onto the trailer for an alignment tomorrow.

After it's back I'll partially pull the front apart again to replace the wheel bearings and install longer grade 10.9 UCA mounting bolts to get some extra threads showing past the nut. The double-sheer UCA mounts plus the heim joints added more width than the stock bolt can safely accommodate.

    Progress is progress. :)

The SCORE Primm 300 in Nevada in September.

I haven't even mentioned the engine cage or air bumps yet. Or the new GPS wiring. Or the new mount for the race tracking device. Or the driveshaft skidplate modifications. Or the hydration system mounting. Or the e-locker hack that I still haven't done.

On the tow vehicle I have to install and wire up some lights on the front, replace the u-joints on the front axle, replace the shocks, install and wire up the GPS, run wires to power a trailer-mounted winch, and a few other things.

There are not enough days in the year...

I need to stay on the computer so I can pay for all this stuff! ;)

    I'd be all over it!

Hell yeah. I've got a ton of work for you so I'll try to get there reasonably early. Hopefully around 10, which usually translates to 11 with my punctuality. ;)

Next house I buy absolutely must be able to fit a lift. No way around it at this point.

To heck with the vehicle. I want to learn how to make MYSELF hover like that!

Ordered a 20 ton shop press. I figure with all the work I already have backed up it's far cheaper to buy the tool than pay a shop to press the bearings on the Tacoma and replace the ball joints on the Ford.

The pile of tools is larger than the pile of parts at this point. I think that's a good thing.

In other news: Mike popped my tires last night because he's jealous that my truck isn't on jackstands. :D
