That was more of a brokeback "I can't quit you" type of thing. More fulfilling than a paycheck but doesn't impress the landlord one bit.

Without stealing his thunder too much, yes, he is planning on selling the extra parts.

The only running condition that I have known about for his truck was the day he tricked some kids into running and pushing it.

Oh yes. I'm going to have a hell of a garage sale in the next few weeks. I'll post on TW first so you guys have first crack at the goodies. :)

Only stuff that needs to be. ;)

    My thunder has been stolen.

I'm doing my best to minimize uptime. :p

I just spoke with Camburg about removing the stub shafts from the outer CV joints. As expected, a big press is needed. I'll remove the cages from both joints and will bring the parts down to Carroll's Rod & Racecraft to let them go to town with their 20 ton press. Camburg said even they send the parts out to a shop that specializes in CVs. The factory shafts are destroyed during the removal process but installation of the new shafts is a breeze.

While I had them on the phone I asked about running bumpstops with the 4wd. They said there isn't enough room with the stub shafts in the way but the valving in the bypass shocks is set so they'll act as a hydraulic bumpstop during their last few inches of travel. I just have to pull my Jounce Shocks off the front and I'll be set. While everything's apart I'll grind off the factory bumpstop mounts for a cleaner look.

For those in the market, I'll have a Light Racing front jounce shock kit up for sale in the next few weeks. :)

More of a daily pusher these days, but yeah, I drive this thing around. Martie and I drove it from NJ down to Key West about a month ago.

I get some interesting looks during rush hour around here. ;)
